Health Walks

Take your first steps to a healthier future

Walking the way to health accredited scheme Walking is a great form of exercise regardless of how fit or old you are. Walking is especially important for those with specific health problems or with limited fitness.

This easy, safe and gentle exercise can help to reduce the risk of coronary heart disease, strokes, diabetes, high blood pressure, bowel cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, osteoporosis, arthritis and stress.

Health walks are provided free of charge and all you need are comfortable, laced shoes. Walks are supervised by qualified walk leaders to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
