The Staff Appeals Board meets as and when needed, to consider appeals against dismissal, grading and other grievances by Council employees.

Appointments and Investigating Committee

The Appointments and Investigating Committee is responsible for the appointment of all Heads of Service and the Directors of Resources, Environment and Housing and Community Services. The Committee is also responsible for the dismissal of and instigating disciplinary procedures against certain senior officers. This Committee meets when required.

Grant Appeals Panel

The Grants Appeals Panel meets once a year. It makes decisions about appeals made by voluntary organisations concerning grant applications for the financial year and appeals made against the refusal of applications for discretionary business rate relief.
