Cheap Insulation for Bewbush Residents
The Energy Saving Trust have teamed up with local residents group Talk Bewbush and are working together to reduce Bewbush’s carbon emissions. As part of this partnership, residents of Bewbush can get cavity wall and loft insulation at a reduced rate of around £149 each. According to the Energy Saving Trust figures, the resulting savings made on heating bills mean payback would be less than 2 years. Residents throughout Crawley who are over 70 or in receipt of certain benefits can get insulation for free. For further details please call the Energy Saving Trust free on 0800 512 012 or click on the headline above.

10:10 Comes to Crawley
We've always worked hard to protect our environment and now we're setting ourselves a tough new challenge and joining the 10:10 campaign. We've pledged to cut our C02 emissions by a further 10% this year, reducing energy use at K2 Crawley, community centres and in our vehicle fleet. 1950s Play Day
Crawley’s first ever Adventure Playground opened 55 years ago and was a huge success – now we need your help to recreate a fun-filled 1950s play day. We hope to bring together the whole family to work together on a 'scrapheap challenge' and enjoy the fun of adventure, exploration and creativity that's not so easy to find today.

A document called 'Crawley Adventure Playground' published in 1955, tells the story of the playground and its grand opening, including pictures and extracts from the Play Leader's diary, and can be viewed by clicking on the headline above. If you're one of the children in the pictures or you have any information to help us recreate a 50s play day please contact either Toby Shaw on 01293 438655 / toby.shaw@crawley.gov.uk or Barby Hartin on 01293 542176 / barby.hartin@crawley.gov.uk
