Graffiti

The council’s Amenity Services division works alongside Crawley Homes, West Sussex County Council’s Highways and Community Safety teams for the co-ordinated removal of graffiti and fly-posting in Crawley.

We aim to clear all graffiti, regardless of whose land it is on. Where consent of land owners is required, we will work to obtain it.

Timescales

Offensive/Racist Graffiti

We aim to remove any offensive racist or other hate related graffiti within 1 working day of it being reported to the council.

Other Graffiti and Fly-posting

We aim to remove all visible graffiti and fly-posting from public view within 5 working days of it being reported to the council.

The removal of offensive graffiti always takes priority

Penalties

Amenity Services will lead on enforcement action where this is deemed appropriate, through liaison with the police and the council’s Enforcement Team.
