Our planning service is divided into two teams: Development Management and Forward Planning.
Development Management is responsible for the processing and consideration of planning applications. This includes applications for listed buildings, protected trees and advertisements. We also have a Planning Investigation team whose role it is to investigate breaches of planning control.

Planning Policy (Forward Planning) work to deliver planning policy, guidance and implementation projects across the borough. The team produces a range of documents containing planning policies and guidance that help manage the location and design of development in the town in order to ensure that future development in Crawley is sustainable and meets the needs of the community and the local economy.

Residential Street Scene and Parking Improvements the Residential Street Scene and Parking Improvement Programme includes a priority list of schemes which represent the most severe parking problems in Crawley that would benefit from increased parking provision, improved circulation/access and enhancement and protection of the street scene.
