Tilgate Park can be accessed from either Tilgate Drive or K2 Crawley leisure centre which is located on the A23 Brighton Rd.
By car: From M23/A23, take Pease Pottage exit and follow signs towards Crawley, then follow brown tourist signs to Tilgate Park (which also direct visitors entering Crawley from other directions).
Train: to Crawley or Three Bridges, then taxi to park, or bus to Tilgate shops, followed by 10-minute walk up Titmus Drive.
By bus: Metrobus service 2 runs to the park on weekends and Bank Holidays.

The Nature Centre and Walled Garden are open from 10.00am to 6.00pm in the summer (Apr-Oct) and 10.00am to 4.00pm in the winter (Nov-Mar).
Last entry to the Nature Centre is one hour before closing.
Dogs must be kept on lead around Tilgate Lake at all times. Dogs are allowed off lead elsewhere in the park so long as the owner has them in sight, can bring them to heel at any time and they do not cause a nuisance to other park users.
Dogs are excluded from the Nature Centre, Walled Garden and play area.
Tilgate Park is free to enter however there are car parking charges and a small entry charge to the Nature Centre.

There is a charge if you wish to park a car/minibus/coach in the main car park, which are as follows:
£1.10 per hour or park all day for £5.50
£1.10 per visit, per mini bus, per hour
£1.10 per visit, per coach, per hour
These charges apply in the main car park from 9am to 6pm in the summer and 9am to 4pm in the winter.
And in the Lakeside car park, from 11am to 6pm in the summer and 11am to 4pm in the winter.
* Please note we have limited spaces for disabled drivers, minibuses and coaches. These spaces are located next to the Nature Centre and Walled Garden. To locate these spaces please drive past the main car park (on your left hand side), bear left and follow the road around.

Tilgate Silt Lake may be fished by any holder of an Environment Agency rod licence, obtainable from post offices and fishing tackle shops. Patrol staff will then issue a day ticket (see Fees & Charges listing for latest prices)
