Tilgate Forest Recreation Centre started life as a Canadian Air Force dormitory during WWII, but was first used as a community facility in the 1950’s.
After the Great Storm of 1987 destroyed much of the site, all of the huts were rebuilt. The centre is now home to a variety of different clubs, businesses and societies, from amateur dramatics to martial arts, radio to model railways and a diving club.
The Recreation Centre is just off the A23, 500 metres south of the Broadfield Stadium roundabout, off the entrance to K2 Leisure Centre.
These are the organisations currently based at the centre. You can find out more about them by clicking on the links.
