Facilities for Disabled People

Many of the shops and services in Crawley have facilities for disabled people. There are access guides available on the Disabled Go website.

Crawley TAG

The Town Access Group (TAG) campaigns to improve access in Crawley for the disabled. To raise concerns about mobility issues in the Town Centre and the Borough of Crawley, please direct enquiries to Chris Cheshire on 01293 542359.

Crawley Community Transport

Crawley Community Transport are the charitable community transport operator for Crawley and the surrounding area. They provide services for individuals and also not-for-profit organisations.

Their door to door transport service for individuals (Dial A Ride) is available to disabled Crawley residents of any age who are unable to access public transport. A small annual membership fee is payable.

Dial A Ride runs from Monday to Friday between 9:30am – 2:30pm. For details of fares and to book call 01293 523764 between 9am and 11am.

Shop Mobility Scheme

Wings Mobility , located at 4 The Pavement to the side of Marks & Spencer, is offering wheelchair and mobility scooter hire for shoppers in Crawley.

To hire a chair or scooter you must become a scheme member which is subject to an annual fee of £13. Membership forms are available from the shop and must be accompanied by valid ID.

The scheme provides attendant/self-propelled wheelchairs and mobility scooters that must be pre-booked.

  • 3-6 hours £7
