Find out how to get to Waterlea Adventure Playground .

At Waterlea we play whatever the weather. On hot days we play with water, when it rains we have some great puddles (just bring your wellies), and in snow we make our own igloos! Whatever time of year, don’t let the cold put you off. You can still come along and make an indoor hide out or try a new game or spend time warming up near the fire pit. So why not come along and see for yourself, Waterlea is the place to be!

Open Access Play

Open access play is free to all Crawley children over six years and up to eighteen after their parents or carers complete a registration form accepting the following:

• The gate is open for children to come and go as they please
• The Play Service is not responsible for keeping children on site and is not responsible for them when they leave.
• There is no limit on the number of children who may attend – however the numbers in the buildings are monitored.
• They must abide by the Play Service rules and collect their child if asked to by a play worker
• Our qualified play workers and volunteers are all police checked and carry out regular safety checks

Bookable events

Our fantastic sites and buildings are available for bookable events including adventure play parties - your child’s party will be one they will always remember, they can invite up to 100 guests. To find out more please visit the Parties page .

Opening Times

Term Time

From February to mid November all four playgrounds are open free of charge after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3pm – 7:30pm.

Holidays

During school holidays the playgrounds are open free of charge from 11:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday. All unaccompanied children must be registered at each site.

Please note we are closed from mid November to the end of January each year.

Non Crawley residents and registered childminders are requested to make a donation of £1:00 per child.

How you could help us

The playgrounds are supported by local people as well as other people. People volunteer in many ways, from donations of paint, wood and old shop fittings to helping with the tuck shop, activities, events and even washing up!

There are many ways to get involved. For more information please visit the site and talk to one of the playworkers.

We always need: pens, paper, big cardboard boxes, dressing up clothes, old blankets and duvet covers.
