The Housing Help Point deals with a wide range of housing-related problems and we will try wherever possible to deal with your enquiry as quickly as possible.
We will assess housing related problems quickly and give advice as to whether or not the council can help. If we can resolve the issue straight away, we will. If not, we will put you in contact with the right specialist to deal with your housing needs.
We hope to give you the advice you need in one visit. However, there may be times where you need to make an appointment to come back and talk to one of our housing specialist teams.

The Housing Help Point is based at the Town Hall and is open 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday and can be contacted on 01293 438000. Please be aware there may be a short wait to see someone.
If you are a private tenant you can visit the Advice and Prevention Drop-In at the Town Hall between 10am and 3pm Monday to Friday.
If you want to join the Housing Register (if your needs are not urgent) we suggest you visit the council’s Housing Help Point between 9am and 5pm weekdays so that we can talk to you more about your situation and let you know whether we can help you.

If you don't bring any supporting information about your current situation when you visit us, we may not be able to tell you if we are able to provide you with any assistance.
