Making your home energy efficient will save you hundreds of pounds on your energy bills and reduce your carbon emissions.
Whether you own or rent your home, if you are concerned about keeping warm at home or paying your fuel bills we offer free over the phone advice and free home energy visits to help you reduce your energy bills and keep warm and well.
An energy expert can visit your home and identify changes that could be made that will keep you warm and help you to reduce your energy bills. The visits include energy and water saving devices, advice on energy bills, support in applying for insulation and heating grants and an energy performance certificate (EPC).
West Sussex Affordable Warmth scheme provides heating and insulation improvements for households on low incomes and certain benefits.
The Help to Heat scheme provides funding to help eligible householders connect to the mains gas network. If your home is close to a gas supply then you might be entitled to a free or discounted gas connection through the SGN Help to Heat Scheme.
Households that haven’t switched energy supplier or tariff in the past twelve months could be paying up to £300 a year more than if they switched to the cheapest tariff available. To encourage residents to switch and save, the council is supporting Your Energy Sussex, a local energy supplier. We are also partnering with iChoosr to offer their collective switching scheme.
