Change of Circumstances

The amount of benefit you qualify for may be affected if your circumstances change. You must tell us about any change in your or your household’s circumstances.

If you don’t tell us about the changes:

You could lose money you are entitled to or
We could pay you too much money which you may have to pay back
You could be charged an administrative penalty

The council may consider prosecution for fraud if you knowingly continue to receive benefit which you are not entitled to.

You must tell us about changes in your circumstance within one calendar month of the date the change happens.
