There are many ways to make payments to the council. Choose the one that suits you:
You can now pay for council services over the internet, using your credit or debit card. If you have a bill or invoice from Crawley Borough Council you can pay part or all of it on our secure, easy to use system. Click on the link below to go to our online payments service.
*To comply with new bank card acceptance changes all online payments will now require a 3 digit security code to be entered. You can find these three digits on the reverse of your credit or debit card at the end of the signature strip.*
If you bank online you can use the internet to make payments to the Council. The details to use are:

You must also add your payment reference number which you can find on your bill.
Direct Debit gives you peace of mind. It's the easiest, most convenient way to pay and it's guaranteed.
If you set up a Direct Debit it will save you the time and trouble of writing out cheques and the cost of postage. It will also save you having to come to the Town Hall to pay your rent.

For direct debit, choose a payment date of the 1st, 15th or 25th of the month (except for Business Rates).
You will always be in control and will know in advance how much will be debited from your account and when.
PayPoint swipe cards are accepted at outlets across the town. Local stores will accept cash payments whilst Post Offices will accept cash, cheque and debit card payments when you use the PayPoint card.

We have an automated telephone payments system that you can use to pay any of these council bills: Council Tax; Housing Rent; Garage Rent; Sundry Debtor; NNDR, Benefit over payments. Call 01293 438312.
Please note that there is a 1.5% charge for all online credit card transactions. Payments by debit card do not incur a charge.
You can visit the Banking Hall at the Town Hall to make payments by cash, cheque, credit/debit card.
The Banking Hall is open from Monday - Friday 09.30 to 15.30 (excluding public holidays and Christmas Eve pm).
The Contact Centre takes credit/debit card payments, but not cash. The Contact Centre is open from Monday - Friday 08.30 - 17.00 (excluding public holidays and Christmas Eve p.m.)
If you pay by standing order you need to arrange payments with your bank or building society. Please ensure payments are credited on the dates due, quoting the following:

Please make sure that you write your reference number on the reverse of your cheque. If you include your payment card it will be receipted and returned to you.
Deposit cash, cheque or Postal order payments inside the Night Safe situated at the side of the Town Hall building. Please write on the front of the envelope the amount of cash enclosed along with your name, address, reference number, and enclose payment card. The cashiers empty the Night Safe five mornings a week, Monday to Friday at 9.15 am.
