Bewbush

Morecambe Close Play Area Feedback

More than 70 people gave their views on the new springer design for Morecambe Close Play Area in Bewbush, with Option 1 chosen after receiving 40 votes.

Option 1 (see the picture below) will replace the existing springer following feedback from 77 residents who were asked to pick their favourite design for Morecambe Close Play Area from three options listed within a consultation which ran in June 2015.

Option 2 received 13 votes and option 3 receiving 24 votes.

The play area will also be re-painted and deep cleaned, while one of the seats on the swings will be replaced with a flat seat for older children.

The council would like to thank everyone who gave their views.

Bewbush is in the south west of Crawley. It was mainly built during the 1970s and 80s and is well linked to Crawley town centre, Manor Royal Industrial Estate and Gatwick Airport by the Fastway bus service.

Talk Bewbush is a group of local residents that meets regularly to discuss Bewbush. We work hard to make positive changes in the community and do joint work with various agencies such as Crawley Borough Council and the Police in order to enhance the area we live in. We have had completed successful projects, tackled problems and generated some great press coverage for our area.
