As the Licensing Authority for the Borough of Crawley, we are required by legislation (Licensing Act 2003) to prepare, review and publish our ‘Statement of Licensing Policy’ (2019 – 2024) every five years. The current document is now due for review to include legislative updates and consideration given to any other comment(s) received during the consultation period. Any such comments regarding these proposals may be sent to the Licensing Team. The last date for submissions regarding this matter is Friday 30 November 2018.
The Licensing Section issues and enforces a number of different Licences, Permits and Consents. Click on the menu links on the right or below for details of each one and how you can apply online.
Our Environmental Health department issue licences and permits for trading, such as dog breeding, pet shops, piercing, acupuncture etc. Click on Other Licences in the menu.

The Licensing Act 2003 has brought the provision of licences for the sale and supply of alcohol, regulated entertainment and late night refreshment under the responsibility of your local authority.
As well as Public Entertainment venues we issue and enforce Theatre, Sex Establishment and Cinema Licences.
