Our Environmental Pledge

“Crawley Borough Council recognises that as the level of government closest to the people, and as the single body with most influence over the quality of life of our citizens, we have a duty to act responsibly with respect to the environment in all our policies and actions.”

Therefore we are implementing an environmental management system, called EMAS, to identify and minimise our environmental impacts and comply with legislation, setting targets for improvement.

We're doing our bit for the environment; the Green Guide to Crawley helps you do you’re your bit.

The Green Guide provides information on a range of issues affecting our environment, from climate change to transport. It offers advice and information on what you can do to help.

Your contribution, no matter how small, is vital. Together, we can improve our environment and quality of life in Crawley.

For Better Tomorrows

The County, District and Borough Councils in West Sussex have worked together to create a booklet packed with environmental initiatives happening within West Sussex. It will inform you about the initiatives you gat involved with at home – from saving energy and reducing waste, to travelling to work and buying local food.
